Starship is New Zealand’s dedicated children’s hospital, providing essential healthcare to the future of the country. We have been a sponsor of Starship since 2003 and have raised $4.5 million over that time, along with sponsoring initiatives such as The Magic of Reading Programme, which gives a new book to every child who stays overnight at Starship hospital.

The creative arts are essential to a vibrant city, that’s why Barfoot & Thompson are a gold partner for the Auckland Writers Festival. This festival is not one to miss, bringing together writers from across the globe to participate in events.

We are proud to be partners with Mercy Hospice, providing free palliative care and hospice services to those facing life-limiting illnesses. They have been a positive force in the community for many years and will provide essential care for many years to come.

It’s important to Barfoot & Thompson to support events that not only promote healthy and active Aucklanders, but to also give internationals a reason to visit our vibrant city. This is why we are proud to be the principal sponsor for both the Half-Marathon and Kids-Marathon. The event hosts around 15,000 people from young to old and gives a unique Auckland experience which cannot be replicated.

A longstanding and prestigious union, North Harbour Rugby has been exhilarating crowds for years. Barfoot and Thompson are glad to be represented on their jerseys, and just like the players are ready to leave it all out on the field!

The Northern Mystics are an Auckland team who compete in the ANZ Premiership alongside 5 other teams. The club was formed in 2008 which is also when Barfoot & Thompson came on board. The team has nurtured some of NZ’s best netballers and Silver Ferns players.

The Blues are the official Auckland rugby team in the Super Rugby competition. The Blues have produced some of New Zealand’s most well-known rugby stars and All Blacks players. Barfoot & Thompson have been a sponsor since the start of the team and of Super Rugby in 1996.

The Barfoot & Thompson People’s Triathlon Series is a four-part event in Summer, staged between Mission Bay and Maraetai beach. It is Auckland’s longest-running triathlon series and enables participants to race as competitively or non-competitively as they like and have the chance to race a variety of distances in both triathlon and duathlon.

A day at the races showcases a dynamic mix of entertainment, hospitality, fashion, and thoroughbred racing. We are principal sponsor of Twilight Summer Races, a vibrant evening event which hosts the Jockey World Cup, and Auckland Cup Day, the most prestigious race day that sees athletes gather from far and wide.
